Good ol' Ethel…..what a great dog, she is as good as they come. House trained, loves to cuddle, great on a leash, loves other dogs, good with cats and kids. But most importantly Ethel is a lover who needs someone to love her right back for the rest of her years.

We cannot imagine how Ethel was not claimed by her owners. She sat in a rural pound in Southeastern Missouri for weeks waiting for someone to save her. Dolly’s Legacy stepped in to bring her to Nebraska and help find her a perfect home and a perfect home is exactly what she deserves. She knows sit, shake, lay down, and absolutely adores laying on the couch next to you. In the short time at her foster home she has won their hearts with her polite quiet behavior and has expressed zero bad habits and is quite honestly the perfect dog.

Ethel is so happy to have someone to love her. After a short walk and supper, she can’t wait to settle in and be your armrest for the evening. When bedtime comes, she is content to sleep in a kennel, in another room, at the foot of or even in our bed if allowed. She has had no accidents and has gotten along well with dogs of all sizes. Time has slowed Ethel down and she does have signs of age, but you would never know it from the gleam in her eye, or the love that she has to give.

Ethel is an Anatolian Shepherd/mix (our best guess on breed similarity), weighs 51 lbs and is an estimated 5-7 yrs old. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & started on preventative. Adoption fee is $275 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. We are a foster-home based rescue group and do not have a facility. We are 100% volunteer staff. All communication is done via email AFTER your application has been submitted. PLEASE be sure to answer all questions completely or it will delay processing, be sure to include vet phone#. Since all of our pets are in foster homes and not a facility, we hold adoption appointments once a week on either a Saturday or Sunday, during scheduled time period. We need ALL family members or those living within your home, to be present for an appointment. Preference is given to those with a verifiable veterinary reference and home ownership, although generally not required. Home ownership is verified through court records.
