Ernie's Story
ERNIE THE YORKIE-POO IS LOOKING FOR A HOME.

Ernie was found as a stray so we don't know anything about his past, but his foster mom had this to say about how he has been doing since staying with her:

"I would say he is very friendly, good with small dogs and children, not aggressive. He likes to be with “his person “ and will follow you around and want to be with you all the time. He has a good appetite, likes to sleep on a dog bed , couch or in bed with owner.

Ernie is is good about doing #2 outside, but will mark areas indoors. However, he is very good about wearing a belly band.

He is a bit of a barker. Ernie has severe separation anxiety and will need a home where the owners are home most of the time. A fenced in yard would be good, as he is not used to walking on a leash. He travels very well in the car. Overall, his very sweet little guy!"

We do think Ernie is 4-5 years old. He would not do well in an apartment/condo/townhouse situation because he does bark when left alone. We have no idea how long he was out and alone before being found so we do understand why he doesn't like being alone and hope he will find a very loving home where someone will be home most of the time.

For an application go to www.homesfurhounds.org

He is located in Williamsburg, Va.
