Enchanting Elina Nina Chihuahua & Carolina Dog Mix Brooklyn, NY

Hi! My name is Elina Nina and I'm looking for my perfect forever home :)

Just a few months ago, I was rescued with my mom and 8 puppy siblings in Arroyo, Puerto Rico. My mama (a chihuahua mix) had to be trapped; so like mom, I can be a little shy at first, but I've made great progress since coming to New York! Positive reinforcement, treats, and cuddles have worked like a charm :)

My foster mom says I am such a sweetheart. I am very playful, but also love to snuggle next to my foster mom on the couch for lots of love. I'm still learning how to walk well on a leash and I'm working very hard on potty training! But my foster mom says I've made a lot of progress in just a few weeks here (my first time living in a home!).

Elina Nina is 4 months, fully vaccinated and will need to be spayed in about 2 months. She will do best in a home with another dog to show her the ropes and help her have fun! She misses her siblings. Because she is shy, a home in the suburbs would be ideal (the city noises can scare her a little bit).

Elina Nina is fostered in the Bronx, NY. A meet and greet will be held there. Things like walking on a leash and playing with toys are all new concepts, but she’s learning fast. She will need a patient, dog-savvy family. She is living with a cat now and doing well. Due to her timid nature and puppy nibbling she will not do well in a home with young children.
