Meet Émi

Do you love exploring the outdoors with an adventure buddy? Here is a perfect fur baby for you to take on adventures the Pacific Northwest style!

Émi is a sweet husky girl, estimated to be 1.5 - 2 years old. She is very friendly with people and loves to make doggie friends!

NOTE: available for adoption in BC, Canada and Washington state, USA only

Her ideal home is

1. Where she can exercise with her human everyday, whether going on walks or jogging. And go hiking on the weekends!

2. Where she has a stay at home human or another dog’s company, or ability to send her to day care, since she doesn’t like to be left alone. Just like all huskies (pack animals)

3. With a human who is capable of training her or seek professional help. She could get some assistance with leash manners :)

4. Where shedding fur is accepted as the norm and not frowned upon.

5. If you have a yard, it must be fenced escape proof and the fence must be at least 6 ft high. A young husky still needs their daily walks or playtime to keep them mentally & physically nourished. Having a yard is not an alternative to exercising.

6. Not cat friendly. Expect her to show prey drive and want to chase squirrels during walks.

[Backstory]

[IMPORTANT]
• If you have other dogs, then you must also be knowledgeable and have good hands on experience with running a multi-dog household to be able to adopt a dog from us. What's expected of her adopter is just keeping basic house rules like keep the dogs apart when feeding, monitor and put away left over food, help them build mutual trust before leaving alone with treats, toys etc around, keep dogs out of kitchen when handling food etc.
• If you have children at home, they should be at least 8 years or above, and know to safely and respectfully interact with dogs to be considered for adoption. We think families with younger children will likely not have the time needed to exercise and nourish a new dog. And the time needed to train little kids to safely interact with dogs, read their body language and respect their space. The age requirement is for everyone's safety :-)

• Note that we discourage the use of choke, prong and pinch collars on our huskies. You must have an alternate way of training them if pulling becomes a concern. Without hurting their neck. Huskies are genetically prone to glaucoma of the eyes, and the pressure on the neck will only hurt them more. Walking on a well fitted no-pull harness is strongly encouraged. She will come with a harness.

The adoption fee is as listed, and will be used towards dog’s travel expenses. She will come with a travel crate.
Contact us to start the adoption application process and plan a meet & greet.

Thank you for considering to adopt her!
God bless!
