Ember

Meet Ember!

At just 10 months old, Ember is a beautiful Mastiff/Boxer mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart! She currently weighs 68lbs and is a healthy weight. She will fill out a little more more as she matures. Ember’s story hasn’t been an easy one. After being dumped, she spent weeks trying to survive on the streets before landing in a city shelter in Rochester, where she was at risk of euthanasia. Thankfully, her story didn’t end there, and this sweet girl was given a second chance!

Ember is a spunky, playful girl who hasn’t quite figured out just how BIG she is yet! She’s full of puppy energy, loves to have fun, and already knows how to sit and shake. Someone took the time to teach her these things, making us wonder how she ended up alone and fending for herself. As Ember settles into her new beginning, we’re still learning more about her personality and needs. For now, she may do best as the only dog in the home, giving her family the opportunity to focus on her and help her thrive. She would likely do best with older kids just because of her goofiness and size. She loves people though! She seems to settle well in a crate and understand housebreaking - she’s going to make a sweet companion.

Ember’s past doesn’t have to define her future. From here on out, she deserves a life filled with safety, kindness, belly rubs, and people who will never give up on her. Now all she needs is a forever family ready to help this big, lovable girl grow into the amazing companion she’s meant to be. Could Ember be the missing piece of your family?
