Ella, Lap Dog

Meet our adorable and super friendly little Yorkie mix named Ella! Ella is about 7 years old and she was surrendered to our shelter after her owner lost her home. Ella is a total lap dog who just wants to be with her people all the time. She is a sweet and silly little girl who will jump right up on to your lap for attention. She does have the type of hair that will continue to grow and she will likely need professional grooming at times to keep her from getting matted. Ella is a little lovebug who deserves a really great family! She is good with other dogs and she is non reactive towards cats. Ella can go to a home with children 10 years old and older.<br/>Ella does have a medical condition with her eyes called Dry Eye Syndrome. She was never taken to a vet in her previous home, so now Ella will need daily eye wipes and prescription medication for the entirety of her life to keep her eyes from getting crusty. The good news is Ella is very good for getting her eye medication! There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal.<br/>Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal.<br/><br/>An approved application does not guarantee an adoption.
