Echo's Story

Echo is a gorgeous, gentle, 2yr. old mixed breed.

We are told she is a Pyrenees/shepherd mix. Echo is not XL but would be about 60lbs. Echo is a shy girl, and will flop on her back submissively or be a bit reserved and hold back when she is overwhelmed.

She has lived with other dogs and cats, but as you can see at the end of the video, she is nervous of new dogs and thought needs to be put into who she meets and how. She is happy to observe dogs from a safe distance and once she susses them out, moves past without incident. She would be a dog that would be easy to move to reactivity if pushed to quickly to approaching other dogs. Echo has had a smaller life and it's important to expand her world at her pace. The car is fairly novel to her, she will get in willingly, and does not get car sick, but is a bit anxious about it. Walking was difficult for her former family so being on leash and harness is also something new, but she is quickly starting to enjoy that.

She is cat friendly.

Because she is noise sensitive we would like to see her go to an adult home or a home with children 10+ who can assist in building her confidence. With these sensitive dogs, even one time scary events can cause setbacks.

Echo's adoption fee is $350 and this includes her spay which still needs to be done at our local partner vet. The fee also includes basic health exam at vet, her first vaccines, rabies vaccine, microchip and they leave up to date on parasite treatment. There is also an offer for a free month of insurance via Trupanion that does not require a credit card upon activation. Adopters are responsible for a booster vaccine, and any additional vaccines they may choose to get including lyme vaccine, bordetella.

A Petfinder enquiry is for information only. Applications can be found on our home page.
