Echo's Story

Hi, my name is Echo,<br/><br/>Male - neutered<br/>Siberian Husky Mix<br/>Approx. 1 year, 6 months old<br/><br/>I'm generally friendly with everyone I meet, though I might come across as a bit shy and reserved at first. It's just my way of playing hard to get-typical husky behaviour!<br/><br/>When it comes to food, I have a bit of a dual personality. I love yummy treats and might take them eagerly, but when it comes to my meals, I prefer to graze at a leisurely pace.<br/><br/>I'm very playful and absolutely love toys. You might find me happily throwing them around or even ripping apart a stuffed toy (sorry, not sorry!). However, as much as I enjoy my toys, the truth is, people, praise, and yummy treats are my ultimate favourites.<br/><br/>I haven't had many interactions with other doggy friends, but with a slow introduction, there's a good chance we could become buddies. Unfortunately, I do have a prey drive when it comes to cats, so I would need a home without any feline companions.<br/><br/>If you think we could be a perfect match, I would love to meet you!

Georgina Animal Shelter and Adoption Centre's Adoption Policy
We at the Georgina Animal Shelter strive to find the best possible outcomes for the homeless cats and dogs that enter our care care. The majority of pets we receive have no known medical or behaviour histories. Each pet is continually assessed throughout its time in our care. All pets receive an individualized animal welfare plan including spaying/neutering, vaccinations, anti-parasitic treatments, nutritional plan and any other medical treatments or behvaiour modifications deemed necessary. Temperament and personality assessments allow us to better match pets with potential adopters. Completing a detailed adoption questionnaire helps to ensure that we are matching perspective adopters with the pet that is best suited to their home environment and lifestyle. We want each adoption to be a success and pride ourselves in providing a transparent and thorough adoption process. To ensure adoption compatibility, follow up calls and/or emails are provided to each adopter to ensure that the transition of their new pet into their home is successful. If you would like to inquire about a pet that is available for adoption, contact us at 1-800-898-8606 or email us at animal-control@georgina.ca to learn more. Adoption Fees: Cats $175 + HST Dogs $300 + HST In addition the purchase of a license is required for all dogs being adopted within the municipalities we serve and for cats residing in the town of Newmarket and Aurora. **Prices vary** Cats: https://www.petfinder.com/pet-search?animal=cat&shelter_id=ON53 Dogs: https://www.petfinder.com/pet-search?animal=dog&shelter_id=ON53 We believe in advocating for responsible pet ownership and the life long commitment of pet adoption.
