Echalon's Story
Meet Echalon!

Yes, Echalon is one of the Freed Thirteen.

When we first heard his name, we were curious about its meaning. Echalon refers to a position within a hierarchy, and in his former life, he was believed to be just below Murphy in the breeding operation. But those days are behind him now. Today, Echalon has a chance to simply be a dog a loved, cherished member of a family.

This handsome boy is almost 7 years old, weighs about 65 pounds, and his stunning dark brindle. He truly turns heads wherever he goes.
Like many of the Freed Thirteen, Echalon has some medical needs resulting from years of neglect. He will need a dental procedure, as he is missing several teeth, has broken teeth, and appears to have ongoing gum issues. Despite everything he has endured, his spirit remains bright.

After arriving, Echalon quickly showed us his playful and happy personality. He enjoys spending time with female dogs and would do best in a home with a female canine companion. His preference is understandable, considering his past life as an intact breeding dog. The best part? He still has some puppy-like playfulness that shines through and reminds us that he has so much life and love left to give.

Now, Echalon needs something he's likely never had before a home where he is valued, protected, and loved simply for being himself.
Could you be the one to give him that chance?

If you are interested in fostering or adopting Echalon, please submit an application today at www.njboxerrescue.com.
