Say Hello to Dusty! He’s 5 years old and weighs 8 pounds. Dusty found refuge in Rescue after spending some time in a shelter in Western Mass. Initial reports from indicated Dusty was protective of high value items including his bed. Sometimes environment is a factor and once the circumstances change, the dog’s temperament changes. This appears to be the case with Dusty.

Dusty recently had surgery to repair of a “cherry eye” a prolapsed gland within the third eyelid. The condition is “cosmetic” and does not impair vision. Dusty been a trooper with his eye drops and the stole a few hearts from the staff members that cared for him during his post operative period. If it wasn’t for his cone of shame, you would never know he was recovering from surgery.

Dusty is now accepting applications for his forever pet parent’s. Candidates should be patient and have the ability to love Dusty unconditionally.

Dusty is neutered and will be microchipped and up to date on vaccines before adoption.

Dusty is being fostered in Shrewsbury, MA.

We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
