While we could make our best guess, we really wish there was an option for "Luck Dragon" on adoption applications because Duncan bears an uncanny resemblance to Falcor from The NeverEnding Story. With his fluffy coat, sweet face, and magical personality, we're pretty sure there's at least a little Luck Dragon in his family tree.<br/><br/>Duncan may have had a difficult beginning, but you would never know it from the happy-go-lucky puppy he is today. Found abandoned on the side of the road and severely underweight, Duncan has embraced his second chance at life with endless joy, love, and tail wags.<br/><br/>This sweet boy absolutely adores other dogs and has wonderful manners when it comes to playtime. He loves making friends and is especially gentle with his canine companions. Whether he's showing off his expert-level zoomies, inviting everyone to a game of chase, or challenging his buddies to a round of tughis favorite gameDuncan is always ready for fun.<br/><br/>When adventure calls, Duncan is happy to hop in the car and ride shotgun. He's a fantastic passenger and enjoys tagging along wherever his people go.<br/><br/>Duncan has also shown that he can peacefully coexist with cats. He's respectful of his feline friends and doesn't seem interested in causing any trouble.<br/><br/>Not only is Duncan adorable and affectionate, but he's a smart little guy, too. He's crate trained, settles beautifully in his crate, and sleeps through the night without making a peep. He's making excellent progress with his potty training and continues to learn new routines every day.<br/><br/>What makes Duncan truly special is his resilience. Despite everything he's been through, he greets each day with enthusiasm, affection, and a heart full of love. He doesn't dwell on his pasthe's too busy looking forward to belly rubs, playtime, and finding a family of his very own.<br/><br/>If you're looking for a loyal sidekick, a playful best friend, and perhaps your very own Luck Dragon, Duncan may be the perfect addition to your family.<br/><br/>Could Duncan be the missing piece you've been searching for?<br/><br/>Our standard adoption fee is $465. We offer a $15 discount for adopters who pay by cash or check, making the adoption fee $450.<br/><br/>The adoption fee includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at one of our participating veterinarians, age-appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, current flea and tick preventative, and microchipping.<br/><br/>To ensure the best match for both our dogs and adopters, we require a fully completed adoption application, a phone interview, and a meet-and-greet with the entire household. Applications will not be reviewed unless fully completed.<br/><br/>Submitting an application does not guarantee adoption and does not obligate you to adopt; it simply allows us to begin the review process.<br/><br/>To request an application or for additional details, please email adopt@safehavendogsIL.org.<br/><br/>Please note that the breeds and expected adult size listed in this biography are educated guesses and are not guaranteed.
