Duffy's Story

Duffy is a resilient survivor looking for a patient, understanding home. Before coming into rescue, he was left inside a burning house and was saved by firefighters who broke down the door to rescue him. Despite this traumatic start, he has learned to trust and bond deeply with the people he loves.
Once he feels safe Duffy is a loyal and affectionate companion. Because of his past experiences, however, he can be fearful of unfamiliar people entering his home and may bark. He does best with slow introductions, clear boundaries, and positive reinforcement.
His ideal home is calm, predictable, and able to manage guest arrivals while continuing to build his confidence. We believe he would do best with adults or older, dog-savvy children and an adopter who understands that trust takes time.Duffy isn't looking for a perfect home, just the right one. In return, he'll offer unwavering loyalty and a second chance at the life he deserves.
