Meet Duck

Before reading the story of the dog, this is to invite you to our adoption event next Saturday (September 24, 2022) at the PetSmart in Fullerton starting at 01:00 PM. The event will feature these dogs and several other dogs for adoption. You are invited to stop by and see if there is a dog you are interested in adopting.

Story:

Duck and his siblings were rescued from San Bernardino, CA. They were relinquished to the rescue from a man living with his wife in a motorhome. The man had a cocker spaniel mix female dog who used to go roaming while the man is camping. The female dog got pregnant from an unknown dog and she gave birth to 4 puppies. During their first week of life, one of the puppies kept crying until he died. The mother was not feeding her puppies enough and the owner did not know what to do. A friend of him emailed the rescue to ask for help. Our volunteers drove and met him in Redlands where he parked last. They picked up the puppies and they were assigned to a foster home.

During their stay at PetEmber, the puppies were given puppy formula until they started eating on their own. They stayed in the rescue until they received up-to-date shots of vaccines (Parvo, distemper, adenovirus I, Adenovirus ii, Parainfluenza, and bordtella) and their up-do-date boosters. They have been dewormed and they received flea & tick control medication. The puppies were socialized. They are playful and smart. They are healthy and ready for a forever home. The puppies are not fully potty trained yet and you will need to work on that as an adopter. The puppies have calm energy and they are good to be kept indoors. They are precious and adorable.

The puppies are not spayed/neutered yet as they did not reach the age of sterility. All dogs must be spayed/neutered by 6 months of age as a part of the adoption agreement.

If you think that any of the puppies matches your criteria in a dog. Please consider giving them a home.
