Dory's Story
ory is a 6 years, 1 month old female Yorkshire Terrier/Mix who weighs 6 pounds.

Dory is special. She is a tiny tornado in a fur coat, a dramatic little stray survivor with big opinions, fast feet, and approximately zero coping skills for unexpected life events. New people? Suspicious. Sudden movements? Absolutely not. A leaf blowing across the yard? Emergency response activated.

Underneath all of the sass and spectacular overreactions, though, Dory really does want to be somebody's friend. She tries so hard. She just occasionally short-circuits about it first. Dory does best following the lead of another confident little dog who can show her that the world is not, in fact, ending every five minutes. Once she settles in, her sweet side starts peeking through between the chaos. Dory would really like to find a home with another dog.

If you are looking for a perfectly behaved lap dog, Dory would like to respectfully decline.. But if you are interested in adopting a whirling dervish with equal parts sugar, spice, and emotional instability, Dory may just be your girl.

Please email dogs@worcesterarl.org to set up a time to meet Dory!
