Doogie (STEWIE) Jack Russell Terrier & Bull Terrier Mix Rockaway, NJ

My name is Doogie and I'm a Jack Russell/Bull Terrier mix. I used to go by the name Stewie but my foster mom decided to change my name because my smartypants ways reminded her of Doogie Howser, M.D. I may be a mix but my personality is 100% Jack Russell, with a dash of Bull Terrier charm that will melt hearts!

I'm a very active medium sized dog who is looking for an active family to be a part of. When I'm not out jogging with my humans, I can self-entertain if given a soccer ball or two. I LOVE the non-deflating Jolly balls my foster mom gave me because they cannot be popped and I can play with them for hours! I'm good with most dogs if we're properly introduced and I have learned to love my kitty foster brother since I came to live with my foster mom. I think I will enjoy the company of other kitties as well, as long as they are confident and not shy.

I need an experienced family to continue the training my foster mom has been doing with me. I will protect all that I hold dear, i.e. my family, from people I'm not familiar with. Foster mom said I'm just doing my job as any good dog would and I do make her feel safe because she knows I will always protect my loved ones. Once properly introduced and after socialization activities such as leashed walk or ball playing, I will warm up to those who I do not know and shower them with affection and love as if they're my family.
