It's obvious that Dixie Hound is meant to be a family dog. She loves the attention of more than one person (who doesn't?), and she receives all attention and affection so happily, without being pushy or demanding for more. She just makes it so easy to like her and hang out with her.

Dixie Hound is a 1-year-old big hound mix who will fill - like, literally fill - your home with happiness and friendliness. She doesn't just love people, she also gets along great with dogs and with cats. Dixie adores children to pieces, and because she's a big girl, she'd probably be best with elementary school-aged kids or older. She's the kind of girl who will fit right in playing with the adults or the kids in the home, she'll just make herself part of the group and hang around with a smile on her face.

She responds well to her name - let's face it, she's just ready for the next person who wants to play or talk - and she has started learning commands in her foster home. She's a really fast learner, so she'll come be your best girl in no time.
