Meet DINA
SAY HELLO TO DINA!
Dina is an adorable 2 year old Shih Tzu poodle mix girl.
Weighing in at just 14 pounds, Dina came to us as a stray. We exhausted all our resources to find her owner, however they never came forward.
Dina is a very sweet lap dog and loves her person. She is comfortable relaxing with you and does sleep at the foot of the people bed. She enjoys her rides in the car and walks politely on the leash. She greets both people and dogs very nicely.
We aren't sure why, but Dena is good with most other dogs that she meets outside and will play with them however she seems to get a bit nasty with others that live with her at her foster home. We're thinking she might be better as an only dog or with a very passive dog that is similar in both size and age. As always, a meet and greet will be needed if there is another dog in the home.
Dina doesn't seem to be familiar with kids, so we are thinking she would be best in a family of adults only or adults with older kids 12 and up who will understand and respect her small size. No infants, toddlers or younger kids,
Dina is very smart, cute and shy at first but coming along nicely with her foster family. From our observations and interactions with Dina, she was probably living in someone's back yard most of the time and didn’t have a ton of socializing. Dena does know basic commands and comes when called. She enjoys tossing around her toys, is not toy or food aggressive nor is she barky.
Dina is not completely house trained, so she will need gentle guidance from her new family until she understands their routine. She is very bright and this will not be an issue for her. Dina will make a wonderful family member!
Dina is a longer coated breed, so she will need regular brushing as well as professional grooming every 8 to 10 weeks.
Dina's adoption fee is $400.00
This fee includes her Veterinarian Wellness checks while here at the rescue, her spay, all vaccinations including rabies and bordatella, de-worming, microchip with lifetime membership and professional grooming.
