Meet Diggy! <br/><br/>Diggy is a 3-year-old, 25-pound Dachshund/Poodle mix with a happy personality and a whole lot of love to give. This handsome chocolate-colored boy came to Dogworks as an owner surrender after his family could no longer afford the medications needed to manage his seizures.<br/><br/>Diggy does have seizures a few times a month, but he is otherwise a happy, laid-back boy who doesn’t ask for much. He is currently taking phenobarbital and Keppra on a very strict medication schedule at 6 AM, 2 PM, 6 PM, and 10 PM. Because keeping his medication schedule consistent is so important, his ideal home will be one where someone can reliably be available to give his medications throughout the day.<br/><br/>When he isn’t busy being a good boy, Diggy loves his toys and belly rubs. He is friendly with new people, enjoys the company of other dogs and cats, and takes life pretty easy. He knows sit, come, and no, responds well to verbal correction, and is potty pad trained. He does still have the occasional accident.<br/><br/>Diggy would love a home with a fenced yard where he can safely enjoy some outdoor time. A standard fence is fine. He hasn’t had much experience walking on a leash and has never been crate trained, so those are things his new family can work on with him.<br/><br/>Diggy isn’t looking for a perfect home—he’s looking for a committed one. He needs someone who understands that his medications and routine are a lifelong responsibility, but in return, you’ll get a sweet, affectionate, gentle, playful boy who is simply happy to be loved.<br/><br/>If you have room in your heart and your schedule for this special little guy, Diggy would love to meet you! <br/><br/>He is neutered up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and is on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention.<br/><br/>His adoption fee is $350.<br/><br/>Please follow the link below for the adoption application.
