Dexter's Story
Meet sweet Dexter
Dexter has been through a lot to get to where he is today, being neglected and used as a badger baiting dog (which is how he has so many facial scars). Dexter is a very resilient dog and is simply the happiest boy around. He is an amazing co-pilot, and enjoys car rides and exploring new areas. Dexter is also very eager to please and enjoys learning, He likes to practice his sit, down, and stay commands on the daily. This Irish lurcher is just the sweetest boy who loves to meet new people and get attention from ones he already knows. He has found a love for squeaky toys and rolling in the grass on warm sunny days. He would make for a great best friend to have by your side. Since he is prone to overexcitement and is full of youthfull energy, Dexter would do best in a moderately active home with an experienced pet parent where he can all the exercise and enrichment he needs. Dexter would do best an only dog as he doesn't play well with most other dogs. He would probably not do well as an apartment dog.

*Fast Friends adopts in the New England area. If you are interested in Dexter or one of our other available dogs, please complete an adoption application at www.helpinggreyhounds.org/adopt Dexter has not been tested for compatibility with cats.
