Destiny's Story

Hi, I’m Destiny! I’m a 2-year-old, 22-pound Jack Russell/Rat Terrier mix and I’m finally starting to discover just how wonderful life can be! I was rescued from a hoarding situation down South and I’m now being fostered in Lake Orion, Michigan. I was pretty shy when I first arrived, but I’ve been coming out of my shell more and more every day! My sweet personality is really starting to shine and it’s been so much fun learning that people can be kind and the world doesn’t have to be such a scary place.

I’m a gentle, easygoing girl who gets along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys being around people. I can still be a little shy at first, but once I feel comfortable, my affectionate side starts to come out. Having another dog around really helps me feel confident, so I’LL NEED A FRIENDLY CANINE SIBLING IN MY FOREVER HOME. A FENCED YARD IS ALSO REQUIRED so I can safely explore and enjoy my surroundings. I’m making wonderful progress and just need a family who will continue helping me blossom at my own pace.

I’m fully vetted, spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. I’ve already come such a long way from the scared little girl I used to be and I know the best is still ahead of me. I’m ready for a family who will celebrate my little victories, give me lots of love and show me what it means to be home forever!

If interested, please DO NOT submit an inquiry through Petfinder. Fill out the application at the link below.

https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/63adcb00cb896f59b74103d2/6a8c55bc174d09980b045185

Angie's Dog House's Adoption Policy
Our Adoption Process Our goal is to make the adoption process as smooth as possible while making sure each animal is matched with the right home 1. Submit an Application Complete our adoption application using the link at the bottom of each animal’s bio. Our team will review your application and if approved, someone from the rescue will reach out. PLEASE DO NOT FILL OUT AN INQUIRY ON PETFINDER 2. Home Video Once approved, we will ask you to submit a video walkthrough of your home and yard in lieu of an in-person home visit 3. Animals Already in Foster If the animal is currently in a foster home, the foster parent will contact you to answer questions, tell you more about the animal and arrange a meet and greet. Please bring a leash to the meet and greet. If everything goes well and you feel it is the right match, you may complete the adoption and take your new family member home that day 4. Direct Adoptions From Transport Some of our animals travel to Michigan specifically for direct adoption rather than going into a foster home. Because these animals are coming on transport specifically to meet their approved adopter, a direct adoption must be a firm commitment. Please ask any questions and make sure you are comfortable moving forward before committing to a transport animal 5. Finalizing the Adoption To complete the adoption, you will sign our adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Once complete, your new family member is officially yours and can head home with you
