Meet Dallas

Say hello to Dallas!
Dallas (formerly Alice) is a calm, gorgeous, 110 lb, 4 year old brindle female Great Dane who is fostered in Panama City. She was acquired by the rescue through no fault of her own, due to a divorce and her previous owner leaving the country.
Dallas came to us spayed, heartworm negative and up to date on shots and preventative meds.
Dallas has a slight urinary incontinence issue and is prone to UTIs. She's taking daily Proin for management and will need to remain on that for life. Her medications are fairly inexpensive and can be ordered online with a prescription from your veterinarian.
Her previous owner stated she is good with kids, large and small dogs and is crate trained.
Dallas is being fostered with a foster dad that has another rambunctious male dane named Ranger, who thinks he's a kangaroo, and Dallas handles his energy marvelously. She loves to romp and play with him outside, but knows to settle down when inside the house. She does stand up for herself when Ranger tries to steal her toy, though, but gently puts him in his place. He needs it, too.
Her foster dad says she is not a fan of her crate at his place, so she is not crated at his home. But she's always a lady and never one to throw a party while he's gone.
She also walks very well on a leash. She has great recall and listens well.
She could be happy as an only dog, as long as her humans aren't gone a lot. She's excellent with other dogs though and would make such a good companion to another dog because of her gentle, forgiving nature. We have no information on cats.
Dallas is shy at first and takes a few days to get comfortable with her new family. She knows and listens to basic commands. She now follows her foster dad around the house everywhere he goes, and when meeting new people, she hides behind him for protection until she feels comfortable.
She is lovable and affectionate to her humans, she really is such a great family dog. Her foster dad has nothing but kind things to say about her and whoever gets her will be a very lucky person/family.
