Meet Daizy

Daizy is ready to share her story!

You said that you would always be there for me. You promised me forever. You were so excited when you brought me home. You told me that I was the cutest puppy that you ever saw. We were best friends until suddenly one day we were not. You started to distance yourself from me. I knew something was wrong but I had hoped it would pass. But you just kept paying less attention to me until finally it was decided I could no longer stay with you. You brought me to the shelter, and because they were FULL to the brim they had to turn us away. Instead, of trying to rehome me on your own...you dumped me.

That had to be the hardest thing that I ever went through. I watched you drive away. I watched you leave me in the dust, and all I could do was wait. Wait for you to come back. Wait for you to change your mind...but you never did. Eventually, I had to give up hope and started wandering around. I had no idea where I was going, but I was hungry and confused. I ended up finding myself at a really nice lady's house. She fell in love with me right away. She planned on keeping me, but I was not a fan of her horses or cats. She wanted to make sure I ended up somewhere safe and surrendered me to this rescue.

I don't know why my last family left me. I don't know why I ended up homeless and had to be passed around a few times now. What I do know though, is my forever family is out there. This family won't promise me sweet nothings. They will give me the world and in return, I will give them tons of cuddles, kisses, and happiness. My last owners did not realize what kind of gem I am, but at least know I can find someone who does!

My name is Daizy and I am a 2-year-old, 61lb female Bernese Mountain Dog.

-What would be your fosters ideal home?

She would do well in most homes. Preferably calm, as an only dog or with dogs that don't like to play.

-Is there anything else you would like to mention about your foster dog?

Daizy has a very unique and sweet personality. If you want a needy and cuddly dog, then she is your girl! When she's not sleeping on the couch, she is asking for pets and cuddles. Daizy is a low/medium energy dog and is definitely a people dog, she loves everyone she meets! Daizy has several foster dog siblings and gets along with all of them. She acts indifferent towards them and tends to keep to herself. She hasn't shown any interest in playing. Daizy has never been aggressive with the dogs but she tends to growl when meeting new dogs. After getting comfortable she stops growling at them! Daizy is not a fan of super hyper dogs that are always getting in her face. She does best with dogs that are on the calmer side. She's the sweetest girl and just needs a home with people who can give her lots of love!

Phew! That took longer than I thought! Hopefully, all your questions about me were answered though! Before you apply to adopt me I have a few last things that I would like to discuss!

-How can someone adopt me?
The first step is to fill out an adoption app for me at https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app

Once this app comes in, it will get sent on to my foster family and they will help me decide if we are a match or not.

-Where are you being fostered?
I am being fostered in Moore, OK.

-Would I need to pick you up?
Yes, you would need to pick me up. This rescue does not send us on transports. It is less stress on us that way. Plus, you and I can already start bonding on the road trip home!

-Can I adopt you even if I don't live in Oklahoma?
Yes, I am okay moving to a new state.

-How much is your adoption fee?
My adoption fee is $225.

That includes my DHLPP, Rabies, and Bordatella shots. I will be micro-chipped, heart-worm tested, have a fecal done, be de-wormed, be spayed/neutered, and will be current on heart-worm and flea/tick prevention.
