Cooper Pit Bull Terrier Mix Greenfield Center, NY

We are sad to say that Cooper was brought back to us today. Some of you may remember Cooper by his former name Kirk!

Cooper is a very sweet and resilient boy, who has had a very hard life. Cooper was originally brought to us after being found left for dead in an abandoned home. He was starved and physically abused. We adopted him out to what we hoped would be his forever home, but sadly it was not a match.

Cooper needs a home with a family who has the time and patience to handle the emotional scars that come with being abused. Due to being locked in an abandoned house he can not handle being crated or locked in a room. He has also developed a bit of separation anxiety as well due to this. Because he was physically abused he can become offensive if he thinks he is in danger. He is currently on probiotics to help him keep his weight up after so many years of neglect.

Due to all these things Cooper needs a home with lots of room to run! He would do best in a home with older or calm children. He is great with cats as long as they are dog friendly. He tends to do better with smaller dogs however this is hit or miss.
