This great boy's name is Cooper and he's looking for a family to call his own! Cooper has lived in a home before so he does have some manners that he can brag about. Cooper is known for his high energy and attractive personality. He is great on and off the leash, good with kids and loves to ride in the car. Cooper is very intelligent and has a lot of great things to teach someone. He will make a great hiking or running partner, and his previous caretaker says he is good with other dogs once he is comfortable. He can be shy and slow to greet people he does not know.
If you are looking for a fun, smart, cuddly boy and can be a little patient as he learns to trust, come meet Cooper today!

We often adopt same day as the first visit an interview but it is not guaranteed. Some dogs will take multiple visits and adopters are approved based on the best fit for the particular animal being considered. We do not hold pets during the process.

Most dogs who come from the shelter will not be house trained.

Most adoptable dogs will need some reintroduction into a home, potty training, basic manners and social skills. Please be prepared to provide that training and dedication that will be needed.

We do not have any way of knowing if a dog or cat will do well with all children or all other animals.

It is important everyone in the home is introduced to the new pet.

We also require that any family dogs come into meet your potential adoptee. Please be sure your dogs are spayed or neutered and current on vaccines (distemper - parvo and rabies) before bringing them to the shelter.

All dogs must be transported home in a travel crate to transport your new pup home safely.

Renters must provide a copy of a lease indicating pets are allowed or contact information for the landlord.

If you are interested in meeting or adopting one of our pets or have questions about the process please see our website at or call the Shelter between 11:00 am and 5:45 pm Tuesday through Saturday. 970 626 2273
