Cooper 3557's Story

04/09/26. Hi, my name is Cooper! I’m a gorgeous 17-month-old, big sweet Doberman boy looking for my forever home.

My previous owner was very elderly and couldn’t manage my exuberance, strength and puppy energy. I’m still new to the rescue, so they’re getting to know me, but one thing is already clear: I’m incredibly friendly with every person I meet.

I’ll definitely need some training. I walk nicely on a leash, but I’m a big boy and will need a strong, confident handler.

I’m not a fan of other dogs or cats, so I need to be the only furry kid in the house—but that’s okay, because I have so much love to give. I haven’t been around children, so an adult-only home would be best for me.

I’m also scared of storms and loud trucks.

Please help me find my furever home. With gentle guidance and proper training, I’m going to be magnificent! Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). These dogs will always be supported by DRL. We welcome financial support for these dogs.
