Meet Colin **Courtesy Post**
Meet Colin!
Colin was picked up by Animal Control after they had been notified on several occasions that he was wandering the streets. They had nicknamed him “Ghost” since he would always disappear when they tried to catch him. Upon his eventual capture, ARPH was notified and fortunately we were able to bring him into our rescue. Colin was immediately taken to the vet and found to have lost a large portion of his coat due to flea infested dermatitis as well as a respiratory infection. We also discovered that he is deaf probably due to past severe ear infections that were left untreated. He also has partial vision loss in his right eye. Jump 2 months later - Colin’s coat is filling in and he now has a clean bill of health. He is doing very well in his foster home which includes a cat and two other canines. He is house trained and has free reign of the house. Colin is a quiet mellow type and likes to follow the other dogs. He walks well on a leash and enjoys short daily walks. He likes being groomed and is a great car passenger. He eats in the kitchen with another dog and a cat and will share his food with the cat if the cats asks. Colin loves to place his head on your lap and always welcomes kisses on the head. Colin now weighs around 50 pounds and is thought to be around 7 years old. He is looking for a home with a stable dog and/or cat and a family who has patience and training with his being deaf. A physical fenced in yard is required. If you are an approved ARPH adopter and interested in Colin, please contact fondapoland@gmail.com for further discussion. Colin is being fostered in the Central Indiana area. If you are interested in becoming an approved ARPH adopter, the first step is to submit an application at www.aussierescue.org. Phone calls or emails will not be considered until there is an application on file.
