Meet Coco

Coco is 12 years old and weighs 8 pounds.

The name is Coco and who could possibly resist a little, white fluffball with a sweet name like that? Being a Maltipoo (that's a cross between a Maltese and some kind of poodle) we remain in the land of eternal youth when it comes to our looks, appearing forever puppy-like. Wouldn't that be great to look forever young? I, myself, know that feeling. We also act puppy-like, though I do confess to getting slightly grumpier as I age. That is allowed with maturity (sounds so much better than aging - right?).

My people are really busy now and I'm sort of acting out. Once in a while I pee on the floor but it's because I'm lonely. The kids have grown up and are super busy and don't really have time for me now. I need to be let outside more often. My family thinks it would be better if I had a home where I could get more attention. It would be super nice to have humans I could snuggle with, as that is one of my favorite activities. I also really enjoy sleeping (who doesn't?) and short walks. I am short after all - hahaha. I am getting a bit hard of hearing, so don't respond much to loud noises and that's a good thing. Nothing worse than starting at every loud noise that comes along.

I feel indifferent to cats. We all should as they are indifferent to us, from what I've noticed. I feel the same towards dogs I am unfamiliar with. Dogs I know, I am friendly and interactive with. I get along great with humans, big and small. Though, admittedly I could nip if someone was not nice to me or hurt me. It would be my only way of saying don't. Most people are nice though.

So that's me and I would really love a new home soon where I can be love like I deserve.

INTERESTED in COCO? The first step is to fill out our online Adoption Application (address link below)

NOTE: All of our dogs live in foster homes so it is not possible to setup a meet and greet prior to submitting an adoption application. Filling out an application doesn't obligate you to adopt, but it does save your place in line if there are multiple people interested.

ADOPTION APPLICATION (Type or cut & paste the below website address into your browser): http://www.sdroregon.com/adoption-application.htm

If our Adoption Coordinator determines you are a good match they will contact you. This is a great opportunity for you to find out more about COCO and decide if you would like to setup a meet and greet.

ADOPTION FEE is $150, and there’s a 10% Discount for Senior Citizens and Veterans.

Learn more about the ADOPTION PROCESS here (Type or cut & paste the below website address into your browser): http://www.sdroregon.com/adoption-process.htm

We apologize, but we are not able to answer individual questions about our dogs. We are a small, all-volunteer organization and we receive hundreds of inquiries. If you want to learn more about a particular dog, then please submit an Adoption Application. If your application is chosen, you will have the opportunity to meet the dog and to get answers to all of your questions. Thank you for your understanding.
