Meet Chevy
Chevy is a 1 ½ year old beautiful sweet boy who has been failed by humans. Because of this, he continues to struggle to find his way to a forever home.
He started out as a playful puppy who was adopted by a young family in Bullhead City. At that time life was good for him. Growing up with children, playing, napping and endless happiness. Then life changed. The family had to move and was displaced. He no longer had a place in their life.
They gave him away online to a stranger. That life turned out to be the beginning of his nightmare and continued failure by humans. It was rumored that he was used as a bait dog in a fighting ring. Somehow he escaped and was finally running loose trying to go back to his old life of happiness that he missed so badly. He was picked up by Animal Care and Welfare in Bullhead City and admitted to the shelter.
His original owner found out he was there and came to see him. He thought he would be going home with her and he was happy…….that was not the case. She only took him from the shelter to get him neutered and vaccinated since she was told he would have a better chance of being adopted if he was already neutered. He was then taken back to the shelter and his life of loneliness and waiting began. He started to struggle physically which caused him be overlooked.
S.A.I.N.T. saw him at the shelter and fell in love with him, so we adopted him. He loves people and loves to play, and be out in the fresh air. We placed him in a training center for evaluation. It was there that the discovery was made that he might have issues with just certain dogs. Due to that, he may have to be the only dog. A special home is needed with someone who “gets” him. Someone who won’t fail him again. Someone who will take the time, effort and dedication to love this amazing beautiful soul. He CANNOT be failed again by humans. We must do the right thing.
A Foster or forever home is needed desperately as his boarding fees are hard for us to cover much longer. Please - someone give him a chance. He deserves to be loved, snuggled, hugged, played with and appreciated for his wonderful personality and brave spirit. Time just can’t run out for this boy. People got him to this point and people must now help change the direction of his current path
Please help by donating for his boarding or making the promise to foster or adopt him.
SAINT does not run a rescue facility. If foster homes are not available, pets may be referred instead to their “Courtesy” marketing program, which includes printed flyers and internet postings of pets looking for new forever homes while still living with their original owners.
