Cherry is a sweet little Dachshund mix looking for a second chance. Several years ago, Cherry was adopted from CARE and loved by her owner for many happy years. Sadly, her owner recently passed away, and Cherry ended up loose and scared, running around on her own for several days before animal control was finally able to safely catch her.<br/><br/>The moment we learned she was there, we went and brought her back into CARE. <br/><br/>Despite everything she has been through, Cherry has been so resilient. She is now fully vetted, vaccinated, and safe. Sending in an application does not obligate you to adopt, it just helps us get to know you and your lifestyle a little bit more prior to adoption! We will then review your application, and we can set up a time for you to meet one or more of our pets. You can then pay the adoption fee and officially adopt after meeting your new family member. Alternatively, you can do the adoption over the phone before meeting your new pet. The benefit to this is that we will hold the pet for you. However, the adoption fee is non-refundable if you changed your mind after adopting over the phone. We are happy to adopt out-of-state (and even out of the country!) but transportation for the adopted pet is the responsibility of the new pet owner.<br/><br/>If you cannot adopt a pet at this time but would like to support our rescue, please click on the "Sponsor a Pet" button.
