Meet Chaps

Chaps has four modes: (1) Serious and loyal lovebug, who will walk up and set his chin in your lap, looking at you with his soulful eyes full of love and gratitude for being his human companion. (2) Snuggly snoozer, cuddled up next to you as he dreams and catches up on his beauty sleep. He'll sleep for long stretches, but is always happy to be awakened for a good belly rub.(3) Playful puppy, fetching toys with a decisive and adorable pounce and proudly trotting them through the house before returning them to you for another toss. (4) Separation anxiety ridden drool (like a faucet left on) monster that needs some serious people time and training to help cope when his humans aren't visible.

It's hard to resist his waggly little tail and big silly grin. He is good on a leash, great at getting baths, and would be thrilled to sleep on the foot of your bed. (He will accept sleeping in a dog bed next to your bed, but not before testing your commitment to that decision by circling the bed and repeatedly peeking up at you with his sweet face: "Can I come up? Are you sure? I'd really like to come up! Whaddya say? I'll just come up there, okay? Okay!") He is respectful of rules and would be a fantastic new family member for someone looking for an active and playful yet mature and well-trained dog.
