Chai Java's Story

This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally.

TO APPLY:
1) copy/paste this link https://gdrne.com/adopt/adoption-application/
2) OR at the bottom of the page click on "Adoption Policy" and then it will bring up the adoption application.

Grab a cup of joe and meet Chai Java, a 10-week-old St. Bernard / Great Pyrenees mix, weighing 21 pounds (as of 9/8/26). The JAVA litter were surrendered by owners in Tennessee. Just like the many varieties of coffee, the Java litter may also have Boxer and Hound in them as well. You never what you're gonna get, but it's gonna be the perfect Monday morning fix!

Chai is a chunky little sweetie with big paws, a sturdy build, and absolutely no desire to rush through life. She’s sweet, cuddly, and perfectly content hanging out with her people drinking matcha before settling in for another well-earned puppy nap. Chai has the makings of a big, lovable companion with a gentle, mellow personality. She may grow into a large dog, but we have a feeling she’ll always believe she belongs curled up right beside you. And really, why would we tell her otherwise?

When they're not working on their barista skills, the Java pups are making friends with dogs and kids. They haven't met cats yet, but hopefully they'd like a caramel frap on the house! Since they're still young, the Java pups will need help with leashes, crates (they've only used for travel) and potty training. But don't worry! They plan to reward you with a gift card to any coffee shop in your area! Just hurry, the gift card expires tomorrow!

When the pups are old enough and ready for adoption, they'll be spayed/neutered.

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

To adopt or learn more about Chai Java, you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, copy and paste this URL into your browser: WWW.GDRNE.COM/ADOPTION-APPLICATION [Adoption Fee: $575] **

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
