Casey's Story

Meet Casey! Casey is a beautiful, young Anatolian Shepherd mix with a heart as big as her smile. After being abandoned along a highway in Wahkiakum County, she has shown everyone just how resilient and loving she can be.

At approximately 2 years old, Casey has an amazing disposition. She's sweet, goofy, and eager to learn. She picks up training quickly, is fully housetrained, and walks nicely on a leash. Whether she's making you laugh with her playful personality or quietly keeping watch over her surroundings, Casey is a joy to have around.

Casey appears to have many of the instincts common to livestock guardian breeds. She loves spending time outdoors and is especially fond of her doghouse, where she can keep an eye on everything happening around her. She also shows no interest in smaller animals, including cats.

While Casey gets along well with her foster sibling dogs, she does resource guard her food and sleeping area. This behavior is easily managed by providing separate feeding and sleeping spaces, and she has been successful in her foster home with these accommodations.

Because of her guardian breed tendencies, Casey would thrive with a family that understands and appreciates LGDs. She is looking for a home that will embrace her loyal nature, continue her training, and give her the space and structure she needs to succeed.

Casey is vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, spayed, and has a clean bill of health. We think she is about 2 years old as of June 2026. Her adoption fee is $400.

Think Casey would make a perfect addition to your family?
