Meet Casey!<br/><br/>Casey is a female pit mix who is 6 months old. She came to Beagles and Bentleys with her littermates - all females - that we named in honor of Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead. Casey is named after the Dead's song - "Casey Jones." <br/><br/>Casey was very scared when she first arrived, but her fosters have been so patient and loving that she has made almost a complete 180! She LOVES the other dogs in her foster home, and has become a super snuggler! We can't believe that she used to be scared of touch. She is absolutely perfect, has the most cutest ears, so polite, and ready for her new best friend!<br/><br/>She is leash and potty trained, is still shy around new people but has learned to trust. She would do best in a home with other dogs to show her the ways and things are safe, and a fenced in back yard! Once she gets comfortable, she is a lovebug. She is crate trained, and up to date on all vaccines and preventatives. <br/><br/>She is being fostered in Richmond, VA and is up to date on vaccinations and monthly preventatives. Her adoption fee is $375 and covers the cost of age-appropriate vaccinations, and her spay (and microchip) when age-appropriate. We require that all adopters, regardless of the dog’s age, are committed to ongoing training and socialization as part of responsible ownership. We require adopters to be within a reasonable distance of Richmond or Virginia Beach in order to complete spay/neuter with our approved clinics.<br/><br/>Note: Sending a Petfinder inquiry is not submitting an application. We require a completed adoption application to move forward with adoption.<br/><br/>Beagles and Bentleys has an across-the-board evaluative process that we apply to every application we review that prioritizes our animals in need. We conduct a vet reference check (all resident dogs must be altered/up to date on dhpp/rabies and monthly preventatives) and a virtual home visit call where we discuss the adoption process and see your home.
