Carlisle German Shorthaired Pointer Redmond, WA

Hello! I'm Carlisle and I'm full of ADVENTURE! I'm a German Shorthaired Pointer and everyone thinks I'm between 1 and 2 years old. I still need neutered. I LOVE other dogs and don't fully trust humans yet.

I was running around on my own for at least 3 months before anyone was able to capture me. After about a few days in captivity (what the humans call a 'foster home') I was able to break my collar and run free again for almost a week! I need a place that can keep me safe and secure while I settle back down and learn how to trust humans again.

We are looking for a foster-to-adopt situation for Carlisle.

We need someone who:
-Has breed experience with a German Shorthaired Pointer or very similar breed.
-Has a VERY tall, SOLID and SECURE fenced backyard. The more land for him to run on, the better. But the secure fence is the most important part.
-Has at least one other dog. He LOVES all dogs and will not do well in a house without one.
-Is willing to spend a lot of time being extremely patient with Carlisle since he is the highest order of flight risk. He has been trapped twice and if he gets out again, he may be too smart to get captured a third time.
