Capone 's Story

Meet Capone, a striking 121-pound brindle beauty with a personality as big as his heart. Found as a stray in Quartzsite, AZ, this one-year-old Great Dane didn't let his rough start dampen his spirits. Instead, he’s blossomed into a playful, affectionate companion who finds joy in the simplest things. Whether he’s happily carrying around a favorite stuffed animal, sticking his head out the window on a car ride, or splashing around during his favorite activity—bath time—Capone is all about living life to the fullest. Unlike most dogs, he has a funny quirk: he prefers the cool floor over a plush bed, usually choosing to sleep right next to one instead of on it!

This handsome guy is also a total "foodie" with some unique tastes. Since he has a chicken allergy, he has developed a sophisticated palate for dehydrated salmon heads, sardines, and his absolute favorite snack: bananas. Because Capone is so food-motivated and fiercely protective of his inner circle, he is looking for an experienced adopter who understands Great Dane temperament. He does show some resource guarding, so he’ll thrive best with a leader who can provide gentle structure and continued training. In return, you’ll get a loyal, goofy guardian who will always be by your side.

If you have a heart for giant breeds and a spot on your floor for this gentle soul, Capone is ready to meet you. Come see if this banana-loving big boy is the missing piece to your family.
