Cali Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler Cypress, TX

Hey there!
My name is Cali and I am about 6 years young (according to my vet). Let’s get the science out of the way first! I am a 50lb Blue Heeler that the doctor has given a clean bill of health! Heart worm negative and up to date on all of my vaccines and preventatives. I am an experienced momma but my baby days are long behind me as I am now spayed and all healed up!

Now on to my personality! I am a very intelligent girl who knows basic commands like sit, stay and come. I am learning to love my kennel but have taken direction from my foster sisters and am doing much better! I am an incredibly sweet and loving little lady who has never shown a single sign of aggression towards my foster parents or sisters or any visitors! I’m a pretty quiet girl, but I will occasionally bark in my kennel because I get lonely. I have not had the opportunity to be around many children but I am sure I would love them! I’m also not sure what I would do if I ran into a cat, but I’d probably run and hide behind my foster dad’s legs. I am not resource protective over anything and am learning to play with toys and other dogs. For the most part, I am content to sit at the feet of my foster dad, but I still love to run around and play outside!

I am very shy at first but have been warming up quicker and quicker to new people. Once I get to know you, I love to get all the pets and neck scratches! I am very, very good on a leash and love to go for walks! I sleep in my bed on the floor of my foster parents every night and don’t make any noise! My foster parents have to keep a close eye on me in the backyard because I scare easily, but so far I haven’t made any attempts to escape!

I hope you can see my potential to be an amazing dog for any lucky family, a plus if you already have other dogs! I am ready for my forever home and to have a chance to give love and be loved!
