Cadbury's Story

Cadbury is a beautiful girl who is brand new to Paws New England, and so far, everything we're learning about her has been wonderful!

Cadbury came to us after her owner made the difficult but loving decision to find her a more stable environment. He's a lovely man who is currently transient with two other dogs, and he's had Cadbury for many months. Unfortunately, because Cadbury is deaf, she sometimes wanders off and can't hear him calling her back.

Recently, she wandered off and landed in the office of one of our veterinary partners in Plymouth, MA. Because she was microchipped, the vet could contact her owner. Recognizing that Cadbury deserved a safe, stable home where she could thrive, he asked if they knew of anyone who could give her that opportunity.

Of course, we were happy to help!

Cadbury is now safe and settling into her foster home, where she's doing wonderfully with the resident dog and the children. We'll continue to get to know her over the next several weeks as she settles in and shows us more of her personality.

She also has an upcoming veterinary appointment for a full exam, heartworm testing, vaccines, and anything else she may need.

We're just getting to know this lovely girl, but we're already happy she's part of the Paws New England family.
