Meet Cachetona, a tiny terrier with a big heart and an even bigger personality! <br/><br/>Cachetona was found lying in the road in La Cruz, dangerously close to being hit. A volunteer stopped to help and discovered she belonged to a nearby mechanic shop. Approved adopters are matched with flight companions (flight angels) traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You will meet them at the airport to welcome your new pup home.<br/><br/>Summer Months: It can be challenging to secure Canadian flight angels during the Summer months, so dogs may need to fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border if a Canadian flight angel is unavailable.<br/><br/>We have successfully completed many adoptions over the summer with volunteers helping to bring dogs to their adopters at the border. A Dogs New Life AC's Adoption Policy
The adoption process includes submitting an online application through our website. Leaders at the shelter review the qualifications within the applications and information provided. We do home checks and video chats with prospective applicants to find the right fit for our dogs. If the dog is in Mexico, we work with flight escorts (angels) to transport the dog to the adopter. The adoption fee helps us cover costs for the adopted dog and the care and medical attention of all our sanctuary dogs. All adoption fees are non-refundable. Your adopted dog will have vaccinations including rabies, be sterilized, treated for ticks, fleas, and de-worming, as well as any other medical need the dog may have had when rescued.
