Buzz Lightyear's Story
Location: Columbus, OH

BUZZ LIGHTYEAR
5-month-old Beabull Professional Chaos Coordinator Future Employee of the Month

To infinity... and beyond your personal space.

Buzz Lightyear is a 5-month-old Beabull who has never met a room he didn’t need to investigate, a dog he didn’t want to wrestle, or a household object that didn’t deserve a thorough inspection.

This boy is GOOFY, energetic, curious, and 100% puppy. He approaches life with what we like to call a “bull in a china shop” mentality. Subtlety? Never heard of her.

Buzz LOVES playing with other dogs and would happily wrestle until the sun goes down. He does, however, have major annoying little brother energy. You know the one-constantly asking, “Wanna play? Wanna play? Wanna play? Wanna play?!” while the other dog is very clearly trying to take a nap.

We’re working hard on this whole “manners are important” thing. Buzz knows sit, is VERY treat motivated, and is learning that sometimes his brain needs to remain connected to his body long enough to actually focus. We’re getting there. Slowly.

His crate commentary deserves its own review. Buzz will absolutely let you know that he has strong opinions about being contained, preferably using his very impressive puppy/Beagle-style bark. Once he realizes nobody is coming to negotiate his release, though, he settles down nicely.

Potty training is coming along like a normal 5-month-old puppy. Sometimes Buzz gets so wrapped up in whatever extremely important puppy business he’s conducting that he forgets to tell anyone he needs to go outside. Because apparently remembering to pee is difficult when you have THIS MANY THINGS TO DO.

Buzz’s dream home:

A securely fenced yard
An active family who wants a fun, goofy young dog
Interactive toys and plenty of things to keep his busy brain occupied
Other pets who are either appropriately indifferent to his antics OR confident enough to tell him, “Dude. Enough.”
Someone committed to continuing his training and helping him develop those very important puppy manners
Doggy daycare could be a great outlet for him, and honestly... we wouldn’t be surprised if Buzz eventually needs an actual JOB.

Buzz is still very much a puppy, so his forever family should be prepared for energy, training, patience, laughter, and approximately 47 daily opportunities to say, “BUZZ, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!”

He’s silly. He’s sweet. He’s busy. He’s occasionally a complete disaster.

And he’s pretty darn adorable.
