Butta's Story

6/4/26 Up Date: Ccurrently located in Bethlehem, CT. Butta has been living in foster home so we have learned so much more about her. A very sweet dog but shy in new situations and will bark when visitors arrive, likes other dogs and was even trying to play with some fox kits though the fence one day. She is house trained but hasn't been left for more than a 6 hr span, on the occational longer day she is crated in a large crate, she wil sometimes nap in the open crate otherwise she sleeps a large fluffy dog bed in the living area. She is not crated over night.

She has been on a few outings and she is nervous in new surroundings but recently was more relaxed when there were some children there, she would be great with older kids but might not tollerate too much handling by young kids.

She loves her walks (on rural roads), goes for two walks a day and every few days she burns off come extra energy by zooming around the yard for 5 mnutes.

She is an easy dog, she would be a great dog for a homebody first time dog owner.

She is described (by her owner surrender) as independent yet social and affectionate dog who
spends most of her time in the living room of her home. She loves
bath time and water, has never been crated and knows the cues
"stay", "sit", "dont move", "come", "lets go", and "ready to eat". She
is accustomed to going on 1-2 walks a day for 15mins at a time and
does not pull on her leash during. Her favorite snack is chicken, she
primarily eats Purina Puppy Chow dry food, and she loves all dog
toys. She is known to prefer contact on her own terms at first and she
likes to have a blanket or towel for comfort when she is feeling scared of new people or loud noises.
