Buddy - AVAILABLE TO FOSTER OR ADOPT

Buddy may just be the perfect name for this sweet little guy, because more than anything, he wants to be someone’s best buddy. <br/><br/>Buddy is an adorable little Beagle/Rottweiler(?) mix, about 3 years old. He’s calm and easygoing most of the time, but when he realizes it’s his turn for a walk, that little spark of excitement comes out! He loves his strolls, but what Buddy really enjoys most is simply being with his people. Buddy is fine with other dogs, but he’s definitely a people-oriented pup who quickly becomes attached to the humans who show him love. It obvious that that kindness was lacking in his previous world.<br/><br/>Buddy had clearly been neglected and was emaciated when he arrived at Red Barn. He is still thin, but has gained weight and currently weighs just under 30 pounds. Initially he would only eat when we sat with him and held his food bowl, but he has a healthy appetite now and is blossoming. Hopefully he is on his way to a healthy weight now that his life is on a better path!<br/><br/>Buddy enjoys his strolls and any attention. His exercise requirements are low though, and based on his kennel cleanliness we think he may be housetrained. He will probably be an easy pet and definitely a wonderful companion! Buddy is already vaccinated and neutered, but he did test positive for heartworms.
