Meet Buckets

this sweet little pup is approx 7 months old and 27 lbs, he will probably be in the 40 to 50 lb range when fully grown,he looks like a golden retriever mix, he was picked up from being hit by a car and left on the side of the road, his back leg was broken in many places and even though the orthopedic surgeon did a great job of repairing the fractures he sustained nerve damage and could not use his leg, he just dragged it along behind him, after further evaluation it was felt the only option was to amputate , he loves to run and play and has no idea he only has 3 legs, he can run very fast, he loves toys and other dogs, he is fairly house trained and will run out to the yard to go to the bathroom, he's starting to walk nicely on a leash, will need a family that is patient as it takes him awhile to acclimate to change, he is a little shy with new people and can take a week or two to warm up, he loves curling up on a big dog bed with his buddies and is a very sweet, well behaved pup. Being fostered in Stamford with 1 cat and 2 dogs. He loves the dog park and hiking.
