Bubbas is a 6-8 year old, Beagle mix that was found tied up out front of a local veterinarian’s office. Bubbas was severely neglected and needed a bunch of medical care that was so generously provided by the vet and his staff. He became the office dog for a short time before one of the techs decided to take him home and foster him. Bubbas has been learning to live in a home for the last three months and has become SO attached to his caregiver. He is her shadow and loves her so much. Bubbas has not lived with cats, but did see one previously and ignored him. He is living with another dog and doing well. Bubbas is a super cuddly guy who just needs some refining. Everything new is special to him, which sometimes causes him to resource guard. We are confident that with a proper home, he will learn he doesn’t need to guard anything and he will relax. Bubbas is house trained, but has not been crate trained. He is good in the house and doesn’t need to be crated. A typical Beagle, Bubbas gives off a protective bark when he first sees people approaching, but warms up quickly. He’s also super food motivated, so if you have treats, he will be your best friend! Due to his earlier life, he has some trouble walking when initially going into foster. That has since resolved, but he is still taking Dasuquin for joint health and we would love for his new family to continue this. Bubbas is neutered and up to date with vaccinations.
