BROWNIE - loves everyone

Meet BROWNIE!<br/><br/>Brownie is approximately 3 years old and 20 lbs. We think he's a chihuahua/dachshund/terrier mix based upon his look and personality! He is a handsome boy who we think is a perfect size! He is excellent for someone looking for a small dog...but not too small! He is still very portable at his size and fits in a dog carrier bag well, especially since he is a low-rider and has more stubby legs. He is small, yet he has substance!<br/><br/>Brownie is a special guy who loves to be in the mix. He loves socializing and really loves everyone he's met. He is wonderful with all people including children. Please see video! He loves buzzing around to check out what everyone is doing and nuzzling up for attention to be part of whatever is going on.<br/><br/>He is amazing with other dogs. He really has not met a dog he didn't like. He is currently with several other dogs in the foster's home and is great with them all. He has no food resource guarding at all, and in fact, he "shares" his food well. Please watch the video of him taking food and eating it easily alongside another dog in the home. <br/><br/>He also loves to play with other dogs and is very sweet with those larger dogs who might want to play a little rougher than he does. For example, if another dog is jumping on him, he will play bite to give them a cue until the other dog goes away and gets the hint. He is gentle and respectful, yet definitely enjoys a lively play-romp!!<br/><br/>On an energy scale, Brownie is somewhere in the middle. Yes, he definitely has energy but he is not the kind of dog that is continuously bouncing off the walls. He is young, but not too young and is beyond his crazy puppy stage. He would be great for someone who likes to walk around and would be a good brunch or errand buddy, but we don't foresee him having boundless unsatisfied energy. He can settle down nicely and enjoys pets and cuddles. We think he'd make an excellent city dog given his happy and confident and happy personality but would be equally wonderful in a suburban or country setting.<br/><br/>He really loves human affection! He loves to give and receive love! He enjoys being on your lap and nuzzling up for scratches and kisses! He's a cuddle bug!<br/><br/>He has also not proven to be a big barker in our experience! We think he'd be a good apartment dog. He may bark when he's excited about something or wants to get your attention, but his foster said he does not bark when left alone. He doesn't have separation anxiety in her experience. He is left alone with the other dogs, free roaming while she is at work. She works 2 part-time jobs and comes back home in the middle of the day before going out again, and he's just fine with that schedule.<br/><br/>Brownie is really the best and we can't wait to find him his perfect forever home!<br/><br/>He is neutered, vaccinated, fecal negative, heartworm negative and is ready to find his forever home!<br/><br/>**PLEASE NOTE: Brownie is currently in Puerto Rico and will fly to his forever home once adopted! Please note that we can easily ship in cabin with a person to many airports including JFK, LGA, EWR, BOS, PHL, BWI, BDL, DCA, IAD, TPA, MCO, ORD and many more! The process is incredibly easy to get your dog over from Puerto Rico and we have done it thousands (not an exaggeration) of times!
