Please, note, our organization's adoption form is required and any inquiries sent via the 'Introduce Myself' button will be deleted.

Brody (2YO) came to us due to changes in his first home's lifestyle. He is a 90lb, funny, exuberant, rambunctious adolescent that is still learning appropriate interactions and behaviors for living in a household. He is extremely sweet, and does enjoy attention from people, although long cuddle sessions are still a bit much for his age (we are quite sure he will grow into that kind of affection though).

He has had surgery for cherry eye and the remaining eye discoloration is cosmetic and causes no physical impairments. For more information on cherry eye see https://vcahospitals.com/know-your-pet/cherry-eye-in-dogs

Brody Needs...

A home with a physical, barrier fence at least four feet high (electric fences do not qualify).

A home willing to attend Minnesota Newfoundland Rescue approved training classes or private sessions (online recommendations available). See our current approved trainers at http://newfoundland.ninja/training.html

A home without children under the age of ten - there should also be no frequent visitors under this age.

A home where other dogs are similar in size and not seniors (he is not dog polite and senior dogs will not want to put up with his nonsense).

Brody Likes To...

Squeak toys insistently and flip them into the air while he shows them off.

Play fetch and tug.

Sniff cats (the cats in his foster home don't run, he'd likely chase if they did).

Bark at people with high pitched voices.

Splash in the plastic kiddie pool.

Lay down for treats.

Adoption fees vary depending on the dog, but range from $300-$600.

Inquiries via the PetFinder form will not get a response. Interested parties are required to fill out our organization's application here: Bit.ly/MNNewfApp
