This cool dog is Briggs, a 7-8 month old (as of 1/18) Weimaraner mix. He has a smooth white coat with steel gray markings and beautiful blue eyes. Briggs weighs around 38 pounds now but will get bigger, probably to around 50-60 pounds.

He was pulled from our local animal shelter where he had been picked up by Animal Control as a stray. He was down there for a month and no one came to claim this sweet dog. Briggs is just a big puppy! He is friendly, playful and lively. He loves to meet new people and play with new dogs. He will need some training and structure to help him develop into a well-mannered adult dog but he is already on his way! Briggs may be too big for an apartment because he will need lots of exercise.

When Briggs visited a home he was excited and a little chewy - he really loves chewing on antlers! Briggs loves to retrieve and go walking. He does pull on the leash some, because he is so young. This could be helped with training. He has done fine with sleeping in a crate and is doing well with potty training, but he does sprinkle some when he gets excited. He loves to be around people and he loves to play.

He will require a fenced-in yard to help get that energy out and because he cannot be left outside any unattended without a fenced area. Briggs is not to be an outside dog only, he loves and wants to be with his pack! He should be fine with children 8 and up, not younger due to he is still a bit jumpy when excited. We have started his crate training. Briggs is up to date on his vet care, neutered, heartworm negative and is microchipped. He is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention.

Such a fun and unique looking dog - what a great combination to have in a dog hoping to find his forever home!
