Meet Bowtie
Hi, my name is Bowtie! Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: Unsure/a little anxious, energetic, goofy, playful
-Can Live with Kids: Dog-savvy kids ages 12+ (up to counselor's discretion)
-Can Live with Cats: We have observed some prey-like behaviors from Bowtie at the shelter, and at this time are recommending he go to a home with NO cats or other small animals.
-Can Live with Dogs: Yes, after an initial intro here at the shelter and a prolonged intro process in the home. Any potential canine housemates should be respectful, tolerant, and of a similar size.
-Can do Apartment Living: No thanks! I am vocal and may have a bit of separation anxiety.
-Potty Trained: It appears so!
-Bite History: No
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Yes, one private lesson
-Energy Level: Medium
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: No
-Additional Information: Bowtie came to us as a stray and is still adjusting to the shelter environment. He's a little anxious/skittish and will need a dog-experienced owner who is willing to work with him on these issues. He will need consistent positive reward based training to help him gain confidence and bond with his new person/family! We think Bowtie would do best in a home with a fenced yard (he came to us as a stray, after all!) where he can play fetch and be silly! He's super playful but hasn't really figured out how to use his legs yet - his new owners will definitely be entertained by how clumsy and floppy he is! If you're interested in meeting with Bowtie, the first step is filling out an adoption application. Once that is complete you can come into the shelter for an introduction.
