Boomer's Story

Boomer is sweet senior who needs quiet forever home for his senior years.

Here is what his foster mom has to say about him:

Hi, I’m Boomer. I’m a neutered 10-year-old boxer/bulldog mix that is full of life and looking my forever person. I may be a senior, but have a lot of life and love to give. I may have a funny smile, but I have a big heart. I get along well with other dogs. I can sometimes get grumpy and growl if they won’t give me respect or space, but I’m older and need to communicate when the other dog is too much for me.

I’m good with cats and older kids. I’m not sure, but little kids may not respect my space either so probably would be best in an adult home.
I love my people. I want to be with them all the time. I get so excited when I see my foster mom & dad that I get loud and proud. I like to jump and give hugs that are a little powerful, but I don’t realize how big I am sometimes.

My foster family saw me on the shelter roster after my previous owner surrendered me. They didn’t want to see me get euthanized because I was older and scared so they reached out to Fuzzball Rescue to help them save me. I have been with my foster family for 9 months and I have come a really long way from that scared and sad shelter dog to the lovable lug that I am today.
I have spent a large part of my life in a kennel so I didn’t want to come out much at first. There are a lot of animals at my foster family’s home, so I have gotten to meet a lot of new friends and see that I am okay here.

I love to take long naps on the couch and am very well behaved.
I am potty trained & I am really good about going in my kennel if or when needed.

I love to go for walks. My foster mom likes to take me in the evening when it’s cooler since I’m a bulldog and can get overheated easily.

I am very motivated by food and treats. I know sit, lay down and shake too.

I would love someone to show this old dog some new tricks of opening your heart and home to me. My foster mom says she hopes I will get to my happily ever after soon for the rest of my days. Is that you?

If interested in this sweet boy please fill out an application at fuzzballrescue.com
Submission of application does not guarantee adoption.

Neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

Fence required.

Home checks will be done.

Boomer is being fostered in Hermiston and meets will take place there.
