Bobo Baloo's Story
This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally.

TO APPLY:
1) copy/paste this link https://gdrne.com/adopt/adoption-application/
2) OR at the bottom of the page click on "Adoption Policy" and then it will bring up the adoption application.

Meet Bobo Baloo, a 1-year-old Great Pyrenees / Anatolian Shepherd mix, weighing 90 pounds (as of 6/3/26). This boy and his brother Yoshi Baloo were surrendered by their owners in Tennessee. But they live life by the philosophy: "Look for the bare necessities. The simple bare necessities. Forget about your worries and your strife!" They know better things are ahead!

Bobo is a big, lovable gentle giant with a heart as huge as he is. His calm, affectionate personality will instantly make him Mr. Popular. Bobo absolutely adores people and is happiest when he's close to his humans, just like the bear in the Jungle Book! One of his sweetest habits is holding your hand with his paw and giving big hugs to the people he loves. He knows you deserve it.

Bobo's well-mannered, attentive, and seems to be a very good listener (especially if you've got treats!). Like many guardian breeds, Bobo has a big bark every now and then, but underneath that impressive voice is a soft, loving soul. Bobo was raised around children and has always been patient and gentle with them. Yes, even the rascals who loved climbing all over him! He gets along great with other dogs and is friendly with strangers too. Cats still make him a little unsure, so slow introductions would be best in a home with feline companions.

He walks well on a leash, does great in a crate, and appears to be house-trained. For prey drive, he's chased after a chicken before but it was really just to know why they had to cross the road!

MEDICAL DISCLOSURE: Bobo has the tick-borne disease, Ehrlichiosis, but is taking antibiotics for 30 days to help him get better.

Bobo is gentle, comforting and truly enjoys being part of the family. Bring this giant teddy bear home today!

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

To adopt or learn more about Bobo Baloo, you must fill out an adoption application. The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application.
