Bob Barker's Story
Life's Better When You're a Little Bit Wet and a Whole Lot Happy

Some puppies are content to watch life happen. Bob would much rather be right in the middle of it.

Born on March 31, Bob is the kind of puppy who wakes up every morning convinced today is going to be the best day ever. Whether it's chasing a tennis ball, launching after a Frisbee, playing hide-and-seek around the trees, or making a spectacular splash in the pool, Bob approaches every moment like it's the greatest adventure he's ever been on. A DNA test done on one of Bob's siblings revealed that he is a Golden Retriever mix, and if you've ever loved a Golden, you'll recognize that joyful spirit immediately. He has that wonderful combination of curiosity, kindness, and enthusiasm that makes every day just a little more fun.

His foster says Bob absolutely loves the water. While most puppies carefully dip a paw in to test things out, Bob has no time for that. If there's a pool, a creek, a sprinkler, or a kiddie pool, he's all in. He'll happily dunk his whole head underwater to retrieve a toy or treat, pop back up with the biggest grin on his face, and act like he's just completed the greatest accomplishment in puppy history. Watching Bob play in the water is pure entertainment, and honestly, we suspect he'd happily sign up for the Puppy Olympics if swimming was an event.

Bob has a wonderfully outgoing personality, but what makes him truly special is how gentle he is. He's incredibly kind with people of all ages, wonderful with other dogs, respectful during mealtime, and has never shown an ounce of aggression.

He loves to play hard, but he also knows when it's time to settle down. After an afternoon of swimming, chasing toys, and wrestling with his sisters, you'll usually find him stretched out on the cool floor or curled up beside them for a nap, completely content after another day well spent.

One of our favorite things about Bob is that he doesn't need to be the leader of the packāhe's perfectly happy enjoying the ride. His sister Ruthie is always the first one to investigate a strange sound or greet the neighbor dogs at the fence, while Bob casually waits to see what she thinks before wandering over with Dolly. It's as if he's saying, "I'll let her handle security... I'm here for morale." It's a role that suits him perfectly. We would love a home with another playful canine sibling for Bob, as he truly thrives with a dog buddy to romp, cuddle, and share life's adventures with.

Bob is already making wonderful progress with potty training and has learned basic commands in a very short amount of time. He's eager to learn, eager to please, and has the kind of easygoing personality that makes him fit naturally into family life. He loves playing fetch (he's still polishing the "bring it back" part), chasing Frisbees, and inventing games with his siblings, but he's just as happy leaning into you for affection when the fun is over.

The truth is, Bob isn't just looking for a home. He's looking for a family that wants to live with their dog.

The kind of family that throws tennis balls until the sun starts to set. The kind that laughs when he proudly carries a Frisbee that's almost as big as he is. The kind that doesn't mind a few wet paw prints because they know they came from a puppy who just had the best day of his life.

You'll probably notice Bob because he's handsome. You'll probably smile because he's funny. But you'll fall in love because of the way he makes ordinary days feel like an adventure.

And years from now, when you think back on your favorite memories, we have a feeling there will be a happy Golden-mix puppy with soaking wet ears, a tennis ball in his mouth, and the biggest grin you've ever seen right in the middle of all of them.

See more videos of Bob and his two sisters here:
https://youtube.com/shorts/zxtCriw9BiA?feature=share

+++++++

ADOPTION APPLICATION:
https://form.jotform.com/260401018308040

+++++++

Bob is currently being fostered in New Jersey and will be transported to the perfect forever home by our rescue! We have transports departing each week!

+++++++

The Truth About Rescue:

Every rescue pup is a work in progress and thats the beauty of it. None of them come wrapped in a bow, ready-made or mistake-free. They come with stories, quirks, and hearts that have seen a lot but still choose to trust again.

Adoption isn't about perfection; its about presence. Showing up for them, every day, until they know they're finally home. Thats when you'll see them bloom soft and steady into the very best version of themselves. And somewhere along the way, you'll realize they were never the only one being rescued.

+++++++

Once we have received your application, we will review and reach out to set-up an interview with one of our volunteers! If you have additional questions, please email us at SaintMuttsInquiries@gmail.com.

Note: As with all of our rescues, we recommend homes with children 10 years and over to ensure the best fit for both the pets and families involved.

Check out all of our adoptable pups and learn more about our rescue on our website: www.stmuttsrescue.com
